Picking the solar screen Multifamily fabric density.

Multifamily solar screen fabric options.  We offer a 60% solar screen fabric, 80% solar screen Fabric and a 90% solar screen fabric.

60%:    The 60% solar screen fabric is translucent, meaning you can see through the fabric and see into the apartment.  The 60% solar screen fabric does provide 60% shade from the Sun.  However; the 60% multi-family solar screen fabric is not very good at providing cover for the windows.  Not very good at hiding the blinds and belongings of the tenant behind the windows.   See the below solar screen San Antonio Texas sample illustration.

80%:   The 80% solar window screen fabric is a little bit translucent, but does a considerably better job at providing cover.  A better job at hiding the blinds and interior of the apartment.  While you can still see the blinds with the 80% fabric, you cannot see much past the blinds. With the 80% fabric, you can see past the fabric the first 12 in.  But after (past) those 12in you are not able to see very well.

90%:  The 90% fabric lends the best privacy of all. If you want to totally cover up your windows, and not worry about seeing the blinds.  Not worry about seeing any broken glass from broken windows, or tenants belongings within the units.  Or anything behind the window, then the 90% fabric is your answer.  With a 90% multi-family solar screen fabric, you have the best (densest) cover that you can get for the windows.

Apartment solar screen framing options.

Choosing framing for your San Antonio Texas multifamily apartment solar screen project.

We have two different sizes of frames to build our solar screens from.  We have 3/4 inch standard bug screen framing.  And 1 inch heavy duty solar screen framing.

3/4 inch framing:  This 3/4 inch framing is often used out there because of its price point.  With the 60% Fabric and some of the smaller bills for the 80% fabric, we could use a small framing.  And, for smaller screens, we can use this smaller framing.

1 inch framing:  For larger solar screens you want this heavy duty framing. For the 90% fabric, you absolutely want to only use this 1 inch framing. This 1 inch framing is considerably heavier duty than the 3/4 inch framing.  The 1 inch framing makes for a much sturdier build.
